Services
This practice designs and services participating whole life insurance contracts, and it teaches the strategy that uses them. The eight sections below are the subjects the site covers. Each has a page at its root that explains what it holds and links everything inside it.
The eight subjects this site covers
Each is a subject rather than a product. Each has a page at its root that explains what it holds and links everything inside it.
1. Infinite Banking
The approach known as The Infinite Banking Concept®, a term originated by Nelson Nash: what it asks of the person running it, how a contract is funded, and who it does not suit.

The contract underneath everything else. Participating whole life, the dividend scale, paid-up additions, and when term insurance is the right answer instead.

3. How a Policy Works
The reference layer. Premiums, cash surrender value, advances, beneficiaries, the exempt test, and what is taxable and what is not.
Read more4. Retirement Planning
Where a contract sits alongside registered room rather than instead of it, and why an insured retirement plan borrows from a lender rather than the insurer.

5. Estate Planning
The deemed disposition on death, what passes outside the estate, where the liquidity to pay a tax bill comes from, and what asset protection does not cover.
Read more6. Business Owners
Corporate-owned life insurance, the Capital Dividend Account, and succession planning, which is two questions rather than one.
Read more7. Money Principles
The arithmetic underneath all of it: compound interest, opportunity cost, capital recovery, the money multiplier and its limits, and what fees come to over a working life.
Read more8. Objections and Risks
The case against, stated at its strongest, with a verdict on each argument. Read this section first if the subject is new to you.
Read moreTwo things happen here, and they are worth separating. One is licensed work: designing and servicing insurance contracts for people who become clients. The other is teaching, which is what this website is, and which is open to anyone without a form, an email address or a download.
The eight sections below are the second of those two. Each is a subject, not a product, and each names the page that explains it.
1. Infinite Banking
The approach known as The Infinite Banking Concept®, a term originated by R. Nelson Nash and a mark of Infinite Banking Concepts, LLC, which he described as an approach in which a participating whole life contract becomes a source of financing for personal and business needs over a lifetime. This section covers the strategy itself: what it asks of the person running it, how a contract is funded, how capital is taken out and put back, and where the idea came from. It also covers who it does not suit, which is most people who are shown it.
2. Whole Life Insurance
The contract underneath everything else. Participating whole life, how a dividend scale works, what a paid-up addition is for, how term insurance differs and when term is the right answer instead. The death benefit is the primary purpose of any of these contracts and the reason they are insurance rather than something else.
3. How a Policy Works
The reference layer. Premiums, cash surrender value, policy advances, beneficiaries, the exempt test, what is taxable and what is not. Most other pages on this site link back into this one, because a question about the strategy is usually a question about the contract wearing a different hat.
4. Retirement Planning
Where a contract sits alongside registered room rather than instead of it. The insured retirement plan and why the loan comes from a lender rather than from the insurer. Separate pages for business owners, doctors and real estate investors, because the arithmetic is not the same in each case.
5. Estate Planning
The deemed disposition on death, what passes outside the estate and what does not, where the liquidity to pay a tax bill comes from, asset protection and what it does and does not cover, and building capital that survives more than one generation.
6. Business Owners
Corporate-owned life insurance, how the Capital Dividend Account works, and succession planning, which is two questions rather than one: who runs the business next and who owns it next. Most plans answer the first and leave the second.
7. Money Principles
The arithmetic underneath all of it. Compound interest and what each term in the formula does, opportunity cost, capital recovery, the money multiplier and its limits, and what a wealth manager's fees actually come to over a working life.
8. Objections and Risks
The case against, stated at its strongest, with a verdict on each argument. This is the section to read first if the subject is new to you. A reader who has only seen the case in favour cannot evaluate it, and a practice that will not publish the arguments against its own approach is telling you something.
What is not here
Investments, securities and mutual funds. This practice is not registered with the Canadian Investment Regulatory Organization and does not advise on them.
Tax and legal advice. Nothing here is either. Consult your own accountant and your own legal counsel before acting on anything described on this site.
Advice of any kind, from this website. Everything here is general education. Advice requires a licensed conversation about your own situation, in your own province, and it begins with the discovery meeting.
Which province you live in decides who may advise you
The licence that governs your file is the one for your own province of residence, not the one where the advisor works. Where this practice is licensed sets out the provinces, and names the province where it is not.
What happens next
Becoming a client sets out the five steps from a first conversation to a contract in force, and what each of them asks of you.
A thirty-minute discovery meeting
A first conversation establishes whether this fits. No illustration is prepared and nothing is arranged.
Often the answer is no, and you will hear it during the call rather than in a proposal afterwards.

Any meeting, any advice and any insurance product is provided by Canadian Wealth Creation Centre Inc., through its representatives certified by the Autorité des marchés financiers. IBC Financial is the company's education platform: it distributes no product and no financial service, and it gives no individualised advice.
