Telephone 514-875-9444 or write to info@ibcfinancial.com. The office is at 203-3899 Autoroute des Laurentides, Laval, Quebec H7L 3H7. For a first conversation the thirty-minute discovery meeting is usually faster than an open enquiry, because it comes with a time set aside for it.

Three generations of a Canadian family arriving together for a first conversation about the money passing through their household

There are three ways to reach the practice, and they suit different things.

By telephone

514-875-9444, during business hours.

Use this for anything urgent, anything about a policy already in force, and any question you would rather ask than write. If nobody answers, leave a message with a number and a good time, and the call is returned.

By email

info@ibcfinancial.com

Use this for a question with detail in it, or where you want the answer in writing. Please do not send policy numbers, banking details, dates of birth or medical information by ordinary email. It is not a secure channel, and none of that is needed to answer a first question. If a document is required, you will be told how to send it safely.

By booking a conversation

The thirty-minute discovery meeting is usually faster than an open enquiry, because it comes with a time set aside for it rather than fitting between other calls. It is by telephone or video, at no cost, and nothing is prepared in advance. A common outcome is that this approach does not suit you, and you are told so during the call.

If you would rather see what happens first, the five steps sets out the whole process, including where you can stop.

Where the office is

Canadian Wealth Creation Centre Inc., trading as IBC Financial 203-3899 Autoroute des Laurentides Laval, Quebec H7L 3H7

Meetings are by appointment. Most first conversations happen by telephone or video, because there is nothing in a first conversation that needs a room.

Who to write to about your information

For anything concerning your personal information, including a request to see what is held about you, to have it corrected, or to have it deleted, write to the person responsible for the protection of personal information. The name and address are on the privacy policy, together with how long each category of information is kept and which service providers are involved.

A request about your own information does not go through the general enquiry address, because it is handled under a different obligation and has its own time limit.

What happens to an enquiry

An email or a message is read by a person, not routed through a system that sorts it. It is answered by the practice rather than passed to a call centre, because there is not one.

What you send is used to answer your request and for nothing else. It is not sold, and it is not passed to anyone who is not working on your request. If you later ask to be forgotten, the record is deleted and you do not have to give a reason.

If you agreed at some point to receive commercial electronic messages, you can withdraw that consent at any time, and every message carries a link that does it in one step. Withdrawing consent to marketing does not affect an enquiry already in progress.

If you are already a client

Reviews happen annually, and you do not have to wait for one. A policy loan, a repayment, a change in circumstances, a house, a business, a child starting university, or a change in the dividend scale are all reasons to make contact between reviews rather than after them.

A contract already issued does not carry a standing duty to report a change in your health, your occupation or your travel. Where that information matters is when you apply for something new: more coverage, a reinstatement after a lapse, or a change the insurer has to underwrite. Ask before you volunteer anything, so you neither withhold what is needed nor hand over what is not. Some changes affect a contract and some do not, and the difference is not obvious from outside.

What this page is not

Sending an email or leaving a message does not create a professional relationship, and nothing said in a first exchange is personalised financial, insurance, tax or legal advice. Jose Salloum is a Financial Security Advisor (conseiller en sécurité financière) certified by the Autorité des marchés financiers. His personal licensing covers Quebec, Ontario and British Columbia only. Licensed since 2001.

Write to us

For anything that is easier written than said. It reaches the same inbox as the address above, and you will have a reply within one business day.

What you write here is used to answer your enquiry and nothing else. It is not sold, not shared with any insurer, and not added to a mailing list without your asking. Please do not send policy numbers, banking details, dates of birth or medical information through this form; ordinary email and web forms are not secure channels and none of that is needed to answer a first question. How your information is handled, and how to ask for a copy or its deletion, is set out in the privacy policy. Read the Privacy Policy.

This form reaches Canadian Wealth Creation Centre Inc. Any meeting, any advice and any insurance product is provided by Canadian Wealth Creation Centre Inc., through its representatives certified by the Autorité des marchés financiers. IBC Financial is the company's education platform: it distributes no product and no financial service, and it gives no individualised advice.

Common questions

How do I contact the practice?

Three routes, and they suit different things. Telephone 514-875-9444 during business hours for anything urgent, anything about a policy already in force, and any question you would rather ask than write. Email info@ibcfinancial.com for a question with detail in it, or where you want the answer in writing. Or book the thirty-minute discovery meeting, which is usually faster than an open enquiry because it comes with a time set aside for it rather than fitting between other calls. If nobody answers the telephone, leave a message with a number and a good time, and the call is returned.

Can I send my policy number or medical details by email?

No. Do not send policy numbers, account numbers, dates of birth or medical information through ordinary email or a web form. Neither is a secure channel, and none of that information is needed to answer a first question. Where a document genuinely is required, you will be told how to send it safely rather than asked to attach it. The reason is practical rather than procedural: an email sits in transit and in two mailboxes, and a policy number combined with a date of birth is enough to begin an impersonation. Send the question, and let a secure route be arranged for the details.

How quickly will I get a reply?

A message sent through the enquiry form reaches the same inbox as the published email address, and you will have a reply within one business day. It is read by a person rather than routed through a system that sorts it, and it is answered by the practice rather than passed to a call centre, because there is not one. What you send is used to answer your request and nothing else. A request concerning your own personal information is different: it is handled under a separate obligation with its own time limit, and it goes to the person responsible for the protection of personal information.

Where is the office, and can I meet in person?

The office is at 203-3899 Autoroute des Laurentides, Laval, Quebec H7L 3H7, trading as IBC Financial under Canadian Wealth Creation Centre Inc. Meetings there are by appointment. Most first conversations happen by telephone or video instead, because nothing in a first conversation needs a room and a video call removes the travel from both sides. If you would rather meet in person, say so when the time is being arranged. Bear in mind that where you live, rather than where the office is, decides who may lawfully advise you, so a visit does not change the licensing position.

Who do I write to about my personal information?

Write to the person responsible for the protection of personal information, whose name and address are set out in the privacy policy, along with how long each category of information is kept and which service providers are involved. That is the route for a request to see what is held about you, to have it corrected, or to have it deleted. Such a request does not go through the general enquiry address, because it is handled under a different obligation and carries its own time limit for a response. You do not have to give a reason for asking, and asking does not affect anything else in progress.

I am already a client. When should I get in touch?

You do not have to wait for the annual review. A policy loan, a repayment, a change in circumstances, a house purchase, a business decision, a child starting university, or a change in the dividend scale are all reasons to make contact between reviews rather than after them. One thing is worth knowing so you neither worry nor overshare: a contract already issued carries no standing duty to report a change in your health, your occupation or your travel. That information matters when you apply for something new, such as more coverage, a reinstatement after a lapse, or a change the insurer has to underwrite. Ask what is needed before volunteering anything, because the answer depends on the contract and on what is being asked for.

Does contacting you create a professional relationship?

No. Sending an email or leaving a message does not create a professional relationship, and nothing said in a first exchange is personalised financial, insurance, tax or legal advice. That is not a formality. It determines whether anybody owes you a duty in respect of what you did next. A relationship begins when a licensed advisor establishes your circumstances and documents them, which happens in the suitability step rather than in an inbox. If you want the general material applied to your own situation, the discovery meeting is where that starts, and where the licensing position for your province is confirmed.

Important disclosures

Who you are dealing with. IBC Financial is the education platform and trade name of Canadian Wealth Creation Centre Inc. (cwcc.ca), the firm registered with the Autorité des marchés financiers. The trade name itself holds no licence, distributes no product or service, gives no individualised advice, and concludes no transaction. Every client relationship, every piece of advice and every insurance product comes only through Canadian Wealth Creation Centre Inc. and its duly certified representatives.

Licensing. Jose Salloum is a Financial Security Advisor (conseiller en sécurité financière) certified by the Autorité des marchés financiers in Quebec, a Life and Accident & Sickness Insurance Agent licensed by the Financial Services Regulatory Authority of Ontario, and a Life Insurance Agent licensed by the Insurance Council of British Columbia. Licensed since 2001. His personal licensing covers Quebec, Ontario and British Columbia only. He holds the Infinite Banking Concepts® Authorized Practitioner certification from the Nelson Nash Institute and the Certified Cash Flow Specialist designation. These are private certifications, not regulatory licences, and confer no government authority. All credentials may be verified in the regulators' public registers.

Protected titles. Quebec and Ontario each reserve certain planning and advisory titles by statute, and only a person holding the matching designation may use them. Jose Salloum holds none of them and uses none of them. The title he holds is Financial Security Advisor (conseiller en sécurité financière), certified by the Autorité des marchés financiers, and that is the only title used on this website.

Compensation and conflict of interest. As a licensed insurance professional, Jose Salloum receives commissions from insurers when a client purchases a policy. The practice therefore has a commercial interest in the outcome, and states it here so you can weigh what you read. This website is the educational and marketing arm of Canadian Wealth Creation Centre Inc.

Nature of this website. This website is for general informational and educational purposes only. Nothing on it constitutes personalized financial, insurance, tax or legal advice, and reading it creates no professional-client relationship. Jose Salloum is a licensed insurance professional. He is not a Chartered Professional Accountant, he is not a lawyer, and he is not registered with the Canadian Investment Regulatory Organization. He does not provide securities, tax or legal advice. Consult your own accountant and legal counsel before acting on anything described here.

About the products discussed. Participating whole life insurance is an insurance product, not an investment. Its primary purpose is the death benefit. Dividends are not guaranteed. They are declared annually at the discretion of the insurer's board of directors based on the performance of the participating account, and past dividend performance does not indicate future results. Contractual guarantees depend on the continued solvency of the issuing insurer and are not backed by any government. Policyholder protection in Canada is provided by Assuris, within its published limits. The Canada Deposit Insurance Corporation covers bank deposits and does not apply to insurance products. These strategies are not suitable for everyone and depend on individual circumstances, cash flow, time horizon and objectives.

Not a bank. Canadian Wealth Creation Centre Inc. and IBC Financial are not banks, are not deposit-taking institutions, and do not carry on banking business. Premiums paid into a policy are not deposits. Policy values are not deposits, are not held on deposit, and are not insured by the Canada Deposit Insurance Corporation.

Tax note. Tax treatment depends on the policy remaining exempt under Regulation 306 of the Income Tax Regulations and on your own circumstances. A policy loan is a disposition under ITA s.148(9). Amounts above the adjusted cost basis may be taxable, and if the policy lapses or is surrendered while a loan is outstanding, the gain becomes taxable in that year. Consult a qualified tax professional before acting.

Trademarks and affiliation. "The Infinite Banking Concept®" and "Becoming Your Own Banker®" are marks of Infinite Banking Concepts, LLC. Neither Canadian Wealth Creation Centre Inc. nor Jose Salloum is affiliated with, sponsored by, or endorsed by Infinite Banking Concepts, LLC or the Nelson Nash Institute.
